It is situated only about 10 min walking to the train station to Oberbarmen and to the cableway of Wuppertal and 5 km to the city centre of Wuppertal where the guests have many sights like the brew house of Wuppertal, the museum Von-der-Heydt and many more.

General facilities

The hotel was built up only a few years ago from the historical and landmarked house of the family Friedrich Engels, patronized by the Bethe foundation. The 140 rooms are all very spacious and comfortably equipped. Sixteen of these rooms feature sauna and 30 are categorized as studios, each individually designed by different painters or sculptors.
